To find these colors opposite the color wheel you would first look at how Green and Red are compliments of each other. Then as more green is added to the red, it makes it duller and fades the value. Same with the green... the more red that is added to green, brings it closer to a muddy gray or duller shade of green. When colors opposite the color wheel are placed next to each other they, or when mixed in equal amounts- make gray.
